Community Guidelines
Explicitly Motherhood is a place to pause, reflect, and reconnect with the beauty of your own motherhood. We're building a thoughtful community rooted in honest storytelling, meaningful connection, and authentic motherhood. Every story shared here becomes part of a collective scrapbook of real mom life—one that celebrates the ordinary, honors the difficult, and reminds us that motherhood was never meant to be experienced alone.
Share Your Story
We believe every mother has something valuable to offer. When you share, we encourage you to speak from your own experience with honesty and vulnerability. Your story doesn't have to be polished or perfect. The most meaningful connections often come through ordinary moments and imperfect words.
Honor Every Journey
Every motherhood journey is different. Whether your experience looks like someone else's or not, we ask that you approach every conversation with compassion, curiosity, and respect. Share your own story without assuming it is the right story for everyone.
Lead with Kindness
Support one another with empathy before advice. Listen to understand. Encourage without judging. Extend grace freely. Some of the greatest encouragement comes from simply reminding another mother that she isn't alone.
Make Room for the Whole Story
Motherhood includes joy, grief, exhaustion, humor, identity shifts, uncertainty, awe, resentment, tenderness, and love. Every emotion is welcome here. We simply ask that our conversations always leave room for hope, connection, growth, and the possibility that tomorrow can look different than today.
Choose Connection Over Comparison
This is not a space for performance, perfection, or competition. Instead, we hope every story helps another mother feel seen, understood, and encouraged to cherish her own motherhood more deeply.
Before You Post
Ask yourself:
- Is this an honest reflection of my own experience?
- Does this contribute to understanding or connection?
- Am I speaking with kindness and respect?
- Does this honor that every mother's journey is different?
- Even if I'm sharing something difficult, does my story leave room for hope?
How We Review Content

Content that includes harassment, hate speech, personal attacks, bullying, private information, intentional shaming, or content designed to provoke division or harm will not be published.
Our Hope
Our hope is that every mother who spends time here leaves feeling more connected, more understood, and more able to return to her motherhood with greater presence, softness, and joy.
